Questions

Is my store affected?

If your store is not on Shopify Plus and anything was pasted into Settings → Checkout → Order status page → Additional scripts, or an app added an order-status script tag, that script no longer runs since August 26, 2026.

Can’t you just read my Additional Scripts?

No — Shopify never exposed that box through its API. You paste the contents once (from the read-only box, a theme backup or your notes) and the audit classifies it. Script tags installed by apps are read automatically.

What can’t be converted to a pixel?

Affiliate postbacks need the network’s official Shopify app, surveys and COD confirmations need a Thank-you page block, and session replay tools can’t run in checkout at all. The report says which applies to each script, and the package is only offered when something is convertible.

How do I install it?

Install it from the Shopify App Store. You approve the requested permissions on Shopify’s own install screen, and the app opens inside your Shopify admin.
